Jericho comedy is an oxford based comedy events organisation. Mainly our regular comedy club Jericho Comedy on Saturdays downstairs at the Jericho cafe.
Our flagship comedy night will always be Jericho Comedy Saturdays at the Jericho Cafe. We pride ourselves on being one of the more alternative nights in Oxford, with some of the UKs most exciting comics. Our Saturday night showcases have been recommended by the Sunday Times, we were awarded ‘Top 6 comedy clubs in the UK’ by the 2019 Chortle Awards as well as ‘Top 5 UK comedy venues’ Culture Calling. We use Jericho Comedy Saturday night shows to help fundraise for the Mental Health Charity Mind for whom we have raised over £40,000 to date.
We also produce academic comedy nights Stand-up History, Stand-up Literature and Stand-up Philosophy, Drag double act the Dragprov Revue, and witchcraft and wizardry comedy show 'The Show that must not be named' at Blackwell's bookshop as well as ‘An Improvised Funeral’ and other select shows.

READ OUR TRIPADVISOR REVIEWS:
Jericho Comedy is my favourite night out in Oxford. Small room, friendly regulars, no stag parties; and an impressively high standard of acts, often including some of the bigger names on their way up. None of the audience humiliation you might have heard stories of from less salubrious venues - those kind of acts just don't get booked here. Ludicrously cheap to get in, as well.
the best comedy you can find in Oxford. I've seen some big names here in the packed small room, doing those kind of special shows you only get when you're 15 feet from the comedian. Solid bet for a date night or just going out with friends, hilarious and highly recommended.
I've been to Jericho Comedy a number of times, and there's a great variety of different comedians and different styles on show. The Jericho Café is a great venue for comedy - really intimate. Nice selection of drinks, too! A really fun evening in Oxford - if you have the chance to go, you absolutely should!
Promises a lot and does not disappoint. Clever without being condescending, self-conscious without being up itself and most importantly very, very funny. I would highly recommend Jericho Comedy.
Jericho Comedy is my favourite night in Oxford and I try to go to every event. The quality of the performers is consistently high and the MCs do a really good job of making sure everyone feels welcome. Unlike other comedy nights I've been to it is a friendly and inclusive night. An added bonus is that all the money raised goes to the mental health charity Mind so not only will you have a great night you contribute to a good cause.
Without a doubt, Jericho Comedy nights are one of the most exciting little discoveries I made this year. It is a brilliant way to have a really cheap, but lovely evening with friends
Having seen a number of Jericho Comedy nights, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Whether it's a big name or a newcomer, the comedy is always well worked and a much better alternative to grotty comedy clubs.
This comedy night was exactly what a night like this should be, yes some acts were better than others but the whole evening was fun from start to finish. well done to all involved.
AN IMPROVISED TALE OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY
Based on your suggestions we improvise a tale of magic! From heists at Gringott’s to dementors on their tea break, hufflepuff horcruxes to exploding hippogriffs, from weird welsh dragons to trolley witch conspiracy… All have to be seen to be believed. For all muggles, non-maj, witches, wizards and squibs alike!
"I laughed my flip-flops off and went straight home to watch a proper Harry Potter film. It was good...
but nowhere near as funny as The Show That Must Not Be Named." DailyInfo
